Seabiscuit - War Admiral Match Race Framed Photograph

Vintage photo of Seabiscuit's nearly 4 length victory over War Admiral in their epic November 1, 1938 Match Race held at Pimlico Race Course. Whilst War Admiral was favored to with the match, Seabiscuit proved his incredible depth of talent and courage defeating War Admiral despite the colt having run his personal best time over the 1 -3/16 miles distance. Some 40,000 fans were on hand at Pimlico to witness the incredible race, and it is said that some 40 million listened to the race on their radios! As a result of this victory, Seabiscuit also beat our War Admiral for the acclaimed title of American Horse of the Year (1938).
