Dana Moses Tin Fish Wall Art
Large, Lovely Tin Fish will Grace an Indoor or Outdoor Wall
This original piece of artwork is made out of recycled tin from an old barn roof by Boothbay artist, Dana Moses. Dana came up with the idea for her Tin Fish line of original artwork when vacationing on Culebra, Puerto Rico after a hurricane and seeing all the crumpled tin rooves littering the countryside. "There must be some way to use all this tin," she thought. And she began to cut and shape the tin into two-dimensional sculptures. Many are fish. Others are elaborate custom pieces, often depicting a favorite scene or pet, or other favorite location. (See two of her more whimsical pieces in the images). This beautifully crafted fish is an impressive 44" long and 23" deep. It is painted in several shades of blue and gold.
Dana recommends that this piece be hung indoors or outdoors by using spacers to keep it a bit off the wall, in order to show off its dimensionality.
This one of a kind, hand-crafted Tin Fish is valued at $275.
