With a background in graphic design, Andrew Gilliatt uses laser-print decals to add images to his works that range from familiar domestic objects, like forks and spoons, to humorous depictions of animals and toy boats (or in this case, eggs!). His slipcast forms also reflect his design background with their clean lines and sometimes unusual shapes. Gilliatt is a full-time artist at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, MT. He recently moved to the west after completing his MFA at Louisiana State University.
