Donate for the FARM Fund Program

One of the greatest hurdles for farmers old and new is access to capital. To address this, the FARM Fund program provides micro-loans to local farmers to help them expand production. The program originated with the Orcas Food Coop and has since gone countywide, managed by the Ag Guild. In 2020, working with the Orcas Island Community Foundation, the San Juan Island Community Foundation, the Orcas Food Co-op and a private donor, the FARM Fund granted over $147,000 to local farmers, with the goal of increasing production to meet emergency food needs.
