Brass and wood prayer wheel. Prayer wheels are held with one hand (at the base) and spun clockwise as a way of accumulating merit for all beings. There are thousands of mantras inside each prayer wheel. When the mantras spin, the belief is that the blessings of their sacred power emanate out in all directions.
