Potala Palace Tapestry

This colorful tapestry depicts Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. Potala Palace was the winter palace of the Dalai Lama since the 7th century, up until the 14th Dalai Lama fled to India during the 1959 Tibetan uprising. The tapestry is from Nepal and has been in Liz Monson’s personal collection for many years.
