Chenresig statue
Heirloom quality statue of Chenresig, the Bodhisattva of compassion, and the patron saint of Tibet, sized to occupy the center of a home shrine. He holds a wish-fulfilling jewel at his heart, between two hands folded in prayer, symbolizing bodhicitta. He holds a rosary and lotus stem with his second set of arms, symbolizing compassion and wisdom, respectively. This statue graced Lama John’s shrineroom for years. It is cast using the lost-wax process in Nepal, gilded, with a handpainted face, and hand-set colored glass gems. For the winner of this auction, Lama Willa will bless and fill the statue. It is difficult to find a statue of this superior quality for sale in the US.
