Laid-Back Central American Luxury, Placencia, Belize
Straddling the shores of the Caribbean Sea and the Central American jungles, Belize is a small country that really packs a punch, with its history of the mysterious Mayan culture, the miles and miles (and miles!) of white-sand beaches, amazing wildlife and invigorating experiences. This trip includes all the comforts of a luxurious vacation that you could ask for (and then some!), with a personal chef, daily maid service, airport transportation, house assistant, concierge service, and a butler. So bring your closest family and friends to join you on this exceptionally exclusive vacation to the gorgeous laid-back country of Belize for an authentic taste of the tropics, fascinating history and exhilarating outdoor adventures!
After flying into Belize City, you'll board a jumper flight to the Placencia airport, and then take a quick drive to your very own luxury villa, which is among the finest that Belize has to offer. Most of the villas boast a private pool, and a short walk out the back porch will take you right into the Caribbean Sea - you can't beat that! Your house assistant will contact you prior to your trip for meal planning so that he/she can stock the pantry and bar before you arrive. Your daily concierge/assistant can help with organizing any day trips, run errands for the group, and fix drinks around the pool or beach.
After you settle in to your villa, get ready to take on the best that Belize has to offer! Only in Belize can you find the perfect blend of Caribbean and Central American cultures, and take advantage of the incredible geographic diversity - mountains in the morning and the shores at sunset! From breathtaking views and azure waters perfect for snorkeling and diving, to world-class fishing and Mayan ruins nearby, you'll find the perfect activity for every person at any time.
Belize is also known as the ideal place for world-class fishing, with great opportunities year-round to catch the grand slam of tarpon, permit, and bonefish, in addition to grouper, snapper, and many other species! A short boat ride will take you to the majestic Monkey River, where you and your group will have first hand encounters with the local monkey populations. An hour drive also takes you to the ancient Mayan Ruins of Lubaantun and Nim Li Punit. Spend a day walking around these enchanting landmarks of history.
For the truly adventurous travelers, visit the Jaguar Preserve for an opportunity to experience Belize's wildlife firsthand. Set in the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, this is the world's first protected area set aside to preserve the greatest cat in the new world, the jaguar. Or give the world-class diving in Placencia a try! At the edge of the Barrier Reef along the coast, there is a broad expanse of untouched coral reef channels and abundant fish life. A private island lunch trip is an excellent way to round out your vacation, with a boat trip to Ranguana Caye.
