Joe Wheaton was born in the Netherlands and studied fine art at Alfred University. His metal sculptures have been displayed at many solo and group exhibitions throughout the country. Joe’s work can currently be seen at Lauren Clark Fine Art and, by appointment, at his house and sculpture garden. He also makes site specific complex video projections. In his artist statement, he writes “Reaching and solid, my work traverses many contradictions. As in life, beautiful lines have sharp edges, precarious forms balance with great certainty yet are vulnerable to nature's menacing ways.”
