Barry is a Life Trustee and Vice Chairman Emeritus of public television station WNET and currently serves on the boards of Shakespeare & Co. (Vice Chairman), Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, the Viscardi Center and the New Marlborough Village Association.
The Sohn Foundation funds a broad spectrum of causes which support the environment, alternative health care and the arts, particularly educational projects which bring an awareness of the environment, alternative health care and the arts to those who are underserved, particularly to young people.
