Cathy McMurray launched her art career in 2009. Prior to this, she taught high school art for ten years in the public school system and operated an arts focused shop in Portland, Oregon. She studied art at Willamette University with an emphasis on printmaking, and she has a master’s degree in arts education. As a native to Portland, Cathy draws inspiration from her travels throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. The great mountains and the open sea represent a constant in her life.
