A Piece of History: "Miracle on the Hudson" Rescue Turnout Coat

You can own one of the turnout coats that was worn by a member of the North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue team ... who coaxed Captain Sully off the wreckage!
 

One of our HPMS parents was on the rescue team for what came to be known as the "Miracle on the Hudson", when, on January 15, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 struck a flock of Canada geese just northeast of the George Washington Bridge and consequently lost all engine power. Captain Chesley Sullenberger glided the plane to water landing on the Hudson River off Midtown Manhattan and all 155 people aboard were rescued!
