John Gotti's 1972 Jaguar XKE Convertible

John Gotti, boss of New York City's Gambino crime family in the 1980s, received a 1972 Jaguar XKE Convertible as a gift from vetern capo Greg DePalma. DePalma gave the car to Gotti to gain favor with the boss, according to FBI agent Jack Garcia, who was working undercover within the Gambino family at the time. Gotti subsequently gave the car to his wife, Victoria, for their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. The Mob Museum acquired the car from Victoria. 

The vehicle being auctioned is offered as-is. The Museum makes no warranty as to its condition, operability, or need for repair. The vehicle is offered principally for its value as an object of historical significance rather than its functionality as mode of transport.
