Framed Poem by Maxine Kumin

A limited edition (#4 of 76) copy of the poem "Getting Through"  signed by Maxine Kumin (1925–2014), very nicely matted and framed, with glass protection.

Maxine Kumin was the recipient of prestigious awards such as the Pulitzer Prize, the Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize, and an American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters Award. She was the poetry consultant for the Library of Congress (now known as the US poet laureate position) in 1981-1982, and taught at many of the country’s most prestigious universities, including MIT, Princeton University, and Columbia University.

Despite her travels, she maintained close ties with her farmhouse in rural New Hampshire, evident in this poem. We will let you read and interpret the poem for yourself in the three photos above. You are sure to find relevance.

Enjoy this poetry break.

The framed piece measures 12" x 15."
