Mindfulness Seminar (Washington, D.C. area)
This introductory Mindfulness seminar (up to 2 hours) for as many as 20 people can be tailored to your program needs for workplaces, business meetings, or other gatherings in the Metro Washington, DC area
The seminar is based on the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program developed by the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society.
Participants will enjoy the actual experience of mindfulness meditation and explore how various formal and informal mindfulness practices can lower stress, help slow down negative habitual reactions, and give one the ability to respond more creatively to personal and workplace challenges.
Presented by Nancy Miller:
For the past 6 years, Ms. Miller has been leading mindfulness programs for employees and seniors in Arlington County, patients at the Inova Hospital Systems Life With Cancer program, and those working with addictions at a Men’s Transitional Rehabilitation Program in Washington, DC and the Arlington County Detention Facility. A lifelong meditator, she is a student of Anam Thubten Rinpoche and is currently enrolled in the Natural Dharma Fellowship Margha program. She has received training to teach Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, (MBSR), through the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society, completing intensive coursework with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Dr. Saki Santorelli.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This auction item is for the Metro-Washington DC area only (Northern VA; PG, Howard and Montgomery Counties, MD; and Washington, DC). If the bidder would like this donation for an area outside of Metro-Washington DC, the bidder should contact Nancy (namiller5@verizon.net) directly to discuss travel arrangements before placing a bid.

- Shipping fees, if necessary, are the responsibility of the bidder and will be billed separately from the auction items (unless otherwise noted).
- We encourage pick-up of items at Wonderwell in Springfield, NH.
- It is the winning bidder’s responsibility to either pick-up items at Wonderwell or request and pay for shipping of items, by December 31, 2019. Items not retrieved by then will become the property of Natural Dharma Fellowship.
