“Eucalyptus Moon” (Art Quilt)  Lin Chibante. 11” x 11” 2015

This tiny art quilt reflects a breezy California evening under the backyard gum tree.  The multitude of greens are highlighted with bits of coral. .  It is hand and machine quilted with green and coral thread designs.   Measuring 11” x 11” it is a wall hanging that would enhance the corner of any office or home.

Lin Chibante lives with her husband, two dogs, a cat and extensive gardens on their ranch in the mountains of northern New Mexico.  She loves to write short stories, read, garden and sew.  Her retirement from farming and teaching in 2009 allows her to also dabble in art using the media of watercolor and fabric.  Ten years ago she discovered quilting and teaches sewing and quilting techniques at Luna Community College in Las Vegas, New Mexico.  Her pieces reflect her love and respect for color and craftsmanship.
