Three guests will enjoy lunch followed by golf with a host member at Merion Golf Club’s historic East Course located in Ardmore, PA. In addition to top World (10th) and U.S. (6th) rankings, the East Course has hosted five U.S. Open championships, the most recent being Justin Rose’s victory in 2013. It is also notable for being the site of Lee Trevino’s 1971 U.S. Open victory in a playoff against Jack Nicklaus and the final leg and completion of Bobby Jones’ Grand Slam on September 27, 1930.
Currently, the noted golf architect, Gil Hanse is executing a master plan that commenced in December 2017 and will be finished in May 2019 when the course is scheduled to re-open for play.
For scheduling purposes, the winning bidder should contact donor. Please be advised that the round should be completed by September 28, 2019 and that donor should be contacted a minimum of 30 days in advance of the preferred week of play.
