5th Grade - Kids Carpentry by John Tust
Please join John Tust from Kids’ Carpentry, who will lead a two-hour activity to build a treasure box for them to take home. Up to fifteen (15) lucky McKinley Bulldogs will learn the basics of woodworking and safe use of hand tools. John has been in construction for more than 20 years, and is passionate about making a difference teaching kids the safe and fun way to work with their hands.
This two-hour activity is sponsored by John Tust, who has graciously donated his time, and by Alex Go and Tina Chan who will host the event in their Burlingame backyard. After the activity, we will have a BBQ with the 'builders' and their parents to connect!
Event date/time: April 25, 2026 2-5pm
This activity is limited to 5th graders only. Kids feel free to bring gloves; all equipment and supplies are provided
