Margaret Esherick House Private Tour and Champagne Brunch, followed by Robert Venturi-Designed Mother’s House Tour and Dessert
A champagne brunch and private tour for four people hosted by owners Paul Savidge and Dan Macey, followed by a decadent dessert and another tour by the owner of the home Robert Venturi designed for his mother.
A truly unique and unforgettable event awaits you and three guests as you enjoy a sumptuous Sunday brunch prepared by Dan Macey, who spend the last 25 years as a professional food stylist, preparing food for the camera. Then take a short walk down a bucolic street to the home designed by Robert Venturi for his mother and considered to be the building that spawned the post-modern architecture movement. There you will enjoy dessert again prepared by Macey and be among the first to experience the newly constructed garage with inspiration lifted right from Venturi’s drawing boards.
Louis Kahn’s Esherick house, which is studied worldwide as an outstanding example of the architect’s mature design principles, was meticulously conserved by the owners and received numerous awards, including one from docomomo, for their preservation work. The house also features a kitchen designed and created by famed woodworker and sculpture Wharton Esherick, considered the father of the American Craft Movement.
This day spent at two iconic modernist homes paired with a champagne brunch is for a maximum of four people and can be redeemed at an agreed upon Sunday by the owners and the auction winners in 2025.
