Philip Johnson's Glass House Library - New Canaan, CT

This very rare cast metal miniature of Philip Johnson’s library - one of a series of ancillary structures sprinkled around the architect’s estate in New Haven, was built to house his immense collection of books on art and architecture. This model was a souvenir produced by the SBCS for one of their annual meetings and appears to be of similar scale as the model of the iconic glass house also listed in this auction.
