Crafted by celebrated Hawai‘i-based artist Mark Chai, this sculptural table lamp merges organic form with luminous function. Standing 14.5 tall with a 10.5" diameter, its hand-cut 2-ply walnut veneer shade glows with a warm shoji-polypropylene diffuser. The base—reclaimed redwood and clear fir—adds tactile richness, while a removable fluorescent pink acrylic top adds a pop of playful color. A candelabra LED bulb is included.

Chai’s large-scale commissions span the New York Botanical Garden, Honolulu International Airport, and Disney’s Aulani Resort. His work has appeared in Dwell, The New Yorker, House Beautiful, Sunset, and MTV’s Real World. Each piece evokes a deep connection to place, material, and light.
