4th Grade Collaborative Art Project

“4^thgrade time capsule”

This piece was created in the style of Louise Nevelson with a twist. Each fourth grader brought in an item from home that they felt represented who they are in some way. All of these items were dipped in white acrylic paint and glued into boxes painted in the same color. The boxes were arranged in an interlocking way and mounted onto plywood. This piece was then brought into the school so that each child could add on more generic items giving the piece the layers and repetition it needed to balance out the unique qualities in the special items they brought from home.
