Case of Davis Family Vineyard 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon
The Davis Family Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard was planted in Los Altos Hills approximately 25 years ago as a way to reduce water usage as well as indulge in a love of wine. Only juvenile vines need water, but once mature, winter and spring rains suffice for all water needs. We planted cabernet sauvignon because it flourishes in this area better than other varietals. Originally, the grapes were sold into a mix of various grapes, but in 2016 we decided to bottle our grapes exclusively. Coastal Range Vineyards manages the vineyard and also makes the wine, produces anywhere from 30 to 36 cases of wine a year. The 2022 vintage does not disappoint! It is drinkable now after letting it open for a half hour. It is a classic young cab and can be enjoyed now or aged to be enjoyed in a few years.
