Bio: Jordán is a watercolor painter, printmaker, and illustrator based here in Fort Wayne, IN. She grew up in a large family of creatives, and her supportive parents made sure she had an endless supply of paints and sketchbooks, which she filled with drawings of animals, flowers, and colorful worlds. Her childhood of climbing apple trees and milking goats led to a deep love of nature - a theme in most of her artwork. She is best known for her whimsical floral illustrations and her process-driven printmaking.
Jordán received her Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education at Huntington University, and while teaching art to rooms full of creative middle schoolers, completed her Master’s of Art Education at Herron School of Art in Indianapolis. Painting in the sunroom studio in their historic home, and printmaking on the dining room table - Jordán puts the light, sounds, and even feelings flowing through her full house into her layered prints. Each piece - a celebration of color and life.
