#5 Spirea - Spirea fritschiana ‘ #5’ (Lake Country Gardens selection)

 A very hardy clone of Korean Spirea with a medium-lift pink bloom. Grows 2-4 ft tall and 3-4 ft wide. Great fall color as well. These Korean types may not be as sexy as some of the newer Japanese varieties…but are tougher, more resilient to adversity,  and seem to tolerate shade a bit better. They are a great utility shrub for massing, and a filler…also nice fall color. This clone was inadvertently named by Rueben when he used a tally mark to label some cuttings he potted.
