Stymie's Magic Pond II
by Kathy Windrow
About the Artist. This small painting is inspired by my experience making a larger painting of Stymie's Magic Pond en plein air during the 2023 Float the Boat. The light was spectacular, though it changed minute by minute by minute. Bird songs and wing beats filled the air. Friendly people stopped to visit. I wanted the brush strokes in this painting to capture the ephemeral qualities fo light and sound on that day.
