Prajnaparamita art by Karma Phuntsok - Print on Canvas
This printed art on canvas depicts the Prajnaparamita (Tibetan: Yum Chenmo), the personification of the perfection wisdom also known as the "Great Mother".
The original art was created and donated to ATC as a print, by legendary Tibetan artist Karma Phuntsok.
He was born and raised in Tibet and escaped the Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1959. Karma later migrated to Australia and now lives in the “bush” north of Kyogle, NSW.
The influence of his journey can be observed in his unique art with the blending of Tibetan Buddhist motifs and native Australian elements.
