Tea Leaf Readings (In Person Or Online) - Tara's Tea Leaf Readings

Katrina is a Tea Leaf Reader from the Blue Mountains in NSW and has been giving readings and workshops for seven years. “Tea leaf readings are fun and insightful in the interpretation of the images and symbols the leaves form in the cup,” she said.

A reading goes for 20 minutes and can be done remotely. Katrina will provide instructions on preparing your cup and sending a photo. Reading then takes place via Facebook messenger or Zoom.

What is a tea leaf reading?
Tasseography (also known as tasseomancy or tassology) is a divination or fortune-telling method that interprets patterns in tea leaves, coffee grounds, or wine sediments. The term derives from the French word tasse (cup), which in turn derives from the Arabic word tassa. The first inklings of Western tasseography can be traced to medieval European fortune tellers who developed their readings from splatters of wax, lead, and other molten substances. This evolved into tea-leaf reading in the seventeenth century.
