Makoko

This painting is from Lagos Nigeria bought in an artisan market on location with Dr Ikwunga Wonodi on one of his last Nigerian Trips. It's about 8 x 10 and it's a painting of the Makoko which is an informal settlement across the 3rd Mainland Bridge located on the coast of mainland Lagos, Nigeria. A third of the community is built on stilts along the lagoon and the rest is on the land.
