These items were found in the 1884 Emma Malaby Grocery Store, 313 N.Meldrum in Fort Collins. This building served as a grocery for 40 years and is the last frame building remaining from Fort Collins' original downtown. It was the George T. Wilkins Photography Gallery for 10 years. It was moved in 1906 to its present location, where it served the surrounding neighborhood as a grocery for 70 years. Jim Burrill, the descendant of the Collamer and Malaby families who ran the store, donated the property to Historic Larimer County this year. HLC will hold an open house on June 22.
