Historically Accurate Reproduction Black Beaded Miser's Purse

Miser's Purses were very popular with men and women throughout the 18th and 19th centuries as they were a"pick-pocket proof" way to keep your money or other small valuables.  This purse is an accurate reproduction of a Victorian Miser's Purse made out of cotton crochet thread, glass beads, and small rings.  The beads are strung on the crochet thread as it is made and require quite a bit of skill to make. It would be a fine accessory for any Victorian lady or gentleman.

Donated by Nancy Keller Scholz.
