"How does your brain work?" Class Presentation with Dr. Kim Noble, Associate Professor of Neuroscience and Education at Columbia University
Dr. Kimberly Noble, a neuroscientist and pediatrician on the faculty at Columbia, and a proud member of Room to Grow's Advisory Council, offers a fun and interactive 30-minute session at your child's elementary school classroom, bringing to life the secrets of the human brain! Dr. Noble will discuss how emotions affect specific parts of the brain, and how activities like exercise, deep breathing, and yoga help calm our brains and bodies. Dr. Noble incorporates interactive activities, games, and models to illustrate the complexities and fascinating aspects of our brains. The lesson will be tailored to fit your child’s specific age group and is sure to captivate budding scientists of all ages.
Note: Offer open for students at elementary schools in Manhattan. Dr. Noble will work with the winning bidder to coordinate the visit at a time that works well for the classroom and school.
