The Scheid family has developed extraordinary vineyard holding with 11 prime estate vineyards throughout Monterey County, broken into small blocks based upon soils, exposure and aspect.

Monterey County is one of California’s prime cool-climate appellations; that leads to well-structed, beautifully balance wines. The growing season is remarkably long, allowing for greater flavor development.
 

The bold image that adorns their wine label is their salute to the vineyard worker and reflects their values and beginnings as grape growers. While it is rooted in tradition, the iconic image is also looking ahead and stepping forward,
embodying the belief in balancing the best of traditional methods with cutting-edge advances. It is truism that great wine begins in the vineyard. Scheid
