Buck O'Neil Autographed Baseball
In 2022, John Jordan "Buck" O'Neil, became a member of Cooperstown (MLB's Hall of Fame). Originally drafted in the Negro Leagues by the Memphis Red Sox, Buck was traded to the Kansas City Monarchs in 1938, where Kansas City became his permenant home.
After finishing his career, both coaching and playing with Kansas City Monarchs, in 1962, Buck became the first black coach in Major League Baseball, when he took a job with the Chicago Cubs.
Buck was one of the original founders of the NLBM, located in Kansas City and spent the remainder of his life dedicated to the museum, along side his longtime friend, Don Motley.
Buck passed away in 2006, yet his legecy only continues to grow. This piece of baseball history was personally autographed by Buck and it authenticated by ADA Merchandising and Auction.
