"Idyllic Afternoon on the Lake" by Joan Gallagher

"Idyllic Afternoon on the Lake" watercolor by well known Jersey Shore artist Joan Gallagher.  Joan is a graduate of the  Art  Academy of Cincinnati and has a MFA degree from Notre Dame. 

In both her abstracts and landscapes, she show an interest in natural geometries.  She uses direct observation of nature in the field to begin the process of painting. Some are completed in 'plein air' others are completed in the studio.
