Kayak the Verde River with the Mayor of Clarkdale

The Verde River is one of the last perennial-flowing river systems in the state, providing clean water to many Arizonans. It is also incredibly scenic, and a float on this waterway is a must-do. And what better way to experience it than with a knowledgeable guide that just so happens to the be the Mayor of Clarkdale?  Thanks to the Verde River Institute, you can enjoy a four hour guided kayak trip with Mayor Doug von Gausig (also the Institute's Director) where you'll learn all about this amazing river while getting closer connected to nature.
