Perched high on the Blue Ridge Mountains and in the Pisgah National Forest of Western North Carolina you and your guests will experience the serenity of a unique mountain getaway framed by a stunning twenty-mile western view.  Located in Bakersville, NC., a five and half hour drive from Beaufort, this 1800 sq ft mountain villa features unique carpentry using local hardwoods of Cherry, Ash, Locust, Wormy Maple, and Poplar. Local North Carolina field stones from the property uniquely integrates with the interior hardwood carpentry providing a truly unique mountain feel and anchors the exterior foundation and chimney.  Experience stunning morning cloud formations as they move in from the west in the valley below and capture the magnificent sunsets from the exposed beam great room or on the cantilevered deck.  

The main floor of the house is a split design with the large master bedroom / bath with a king-sized Sleep Number bed and equally stunning western view with its own deck and sitting area. The master bathroom has a full tub and shower. The guest bedroom adjoins the great room and has queen bed and its own bathroom with a tub/shower. Overlooking the great room is a loft well suited for the kids with two twin beds and a futon, and its bathroom and shower.

The kitchen is well appointed with gas stove top, electric oven, microwave, coffee maker, large refrigerator freezer and dishwasher. Round out your mountain experience while enjoying your meals served on local custom pottery sitting around a custom-made live edge Claro Walnut dining table that seats eight surrounded by western and northern facing windows.

Bakersville is centrally located about a 1.5-hour drive between Asheville and Boone making an easy day trip if you want to explore larger mountain cities. You can easily stock up on food and supplies in Spruce Pine or Burnsville, a half-hour drive.  Mount Mitchell and the Roan Mountain (visible from the kitchen window) are two of the highest peaks on the Appalachian mountains and offer great hiking and tremendous views.
