This is a Great White Shark illustration drawn by Ocean First Institute's student researcher, Alana Brim.
Our director recently went on a White Shark trip to Guadalupe, Mexico. While she was there, she did research and beamed into classrooms while underwater from the shark cage. During the trip, several amazing photos were taken, including one exceptional photo by L. Cresswell. Alana Brim has been working for months as a volunteer with Ocean First Institute to help analyze data collected on the trip. She is an artist and when we asked her to illustrate one of our favorite shark photos - she did. The inspiration photo is right here (L. Cresswell). Illustration is 12" x 9" in a float glass frame.

This item is available for pick-up at the end of the fundraiser event on Sept. 16th at the Rayback Collective (by 6:30 PM) or at the Ocean First Institute Boulder office (3015 Bluff St., Boulder, CO) by Oct. 6th. We can also ship to the winner of this item, with the winner covering the cost of shipping so that we can put our funds right back to ocean conservation work!
