JUXTA
compare and contrast or finding similarities
There is so much learning when one travels, whether it be local or far away. And within this exploration, finding the uniqueness around every corner. The character of this new environment can unlock the imagination within.
Well-tailored clothing can uplift people – internal confidence and external standing. There is a rich history in the power of clothing to reshape the mind of society, both good and bad. Every stitch weave people and stories to reveal how connected we all are to the shared experience.
Inherently, there is an element of comparison to what we know – seen and experienced in the past. Exploring this juxtaposition expands our learning opportunities.
Our team aimed to capture the beauty and nostalgia these two objects evoke together and separately. The preparation and dreaming. And the collection of artifacts. The inside of the table, a refurbished suitcase, is a place to save collected treasures. The outside of the table, a refurbished sewing table with a suitcase attached, is a reminder that a new day of exploration is just around the corner. Creating a place for a kid to dream about their future. A place to collect thoughts and be inspired by local and far away travel can empower children to change the world.
