James Honer
James Honer is a graphic artist who works with paint and paper quilts in themes of portraits, landscapes, and abstract grids.
James main influences are painters Bonnard,Vuillard,Lichtenstein,Basquiat, and Hockney. Using techniques of color theory in mechanical printing he explores the bridge of technology into old world techniques. His current focus is on global climate change and impacts on indigenous native peoples.
James Honer is a resident of Connecticut, and fell in love with the Outer Cape and with Barbara Anne Kearney. They met in the Atlantic water off Long Nook beach in Truro. His earlier landscapes feature the outer capes dunes and beaches.
