Kjell Orrling graduated in architecture from a private school in Stockholm, Sweden. He has been painting full-time since 1988. An elected member of OSA, CSPWC and SCA (past-president), in 1996 Kjell also became an elected member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Art. He has specialized in watercolour and acrylic painting, always creating and experimenting with different techniques to create unique and one-of-a-kind artwork.   

Currently, Kjell teaches credit courses and workshops for Colleges in Ontario and local art societies.  

Kjell's artwork can be seen at many art galleries throughout Ontario. He has also had the privilege of teaching art at many renowned colleges and schools of the arts in both Canada and the U.S. Some of his many accomplishments include several sold-out solo shows, best-of-show awards and television appearances. He has also been published in American Artists, Art Focus, the Canada Heirloom Series – Canada at the Millennium book and several newspaper articles, both local and national. 

Artist’s Statement  
This particular piece is part of my new rock and leaf series of paintings that I’ve been working on. Painting nature is one of the most interesting subjects with its changing seasons and beauty.
