This original oil painting is framed in a black floater frame measuring 13.5"x13.5"x2". Fully dressed, with petals extending wide open, the prickly pear flower is perched on a pedestal and moves into the center stage... it is PRIME TIME. The pollinating bees buzz and dance around the flowers like there's a celebration going on. And rightly so, since the blossoms only last a day before they begin to close. When the flower falls off, what remains is the pedestal, which is called the fruit. It's good to know that the blooms are abundant on the prickly pear.
