Texas Mountain Laurel Pen

The wood in this rollerball pen is turned from a Texas Mountain Laurel or Mescal Bean (Sophora secundiflora). It was harvested from an Austin, Texas tree that suffered ice damage. The tree is noted for its bluish flowers occurring in the spring that smell like grape popsicles. Please be aware the pen is magnetized to hold its cap. Roller ball refills may be found online or at most office supply stores.
