Private Honey Harvesting Experience!
Honey harvest experience! A private guided honey harvest tour from a local beehive.
The winner will wear the provided gloves and bee suit and inspect a local beehive. A honeycomb frame will be recovered from the hive and honey will be extracted from the honeycomb. The winner will take home about 1/2 to 1 Lb of honey.
Date: Saturday or Sunday ~ 1 - 4 PM, to be agreed upon with the winner.
Location: Burlingame
General requirements: the winner must be 14+ years old, without a known allergy to bee sting. The bee suit will cover your torso and the head, but for extra protection I strongly recommend wearing closed shoes, thick socks (they will go up and over the lower end of the pants), long pants like jeans with a belt to keep the bee suit closed on your hips, long sleeve shirt and a baseball cap or hat (to wear under the bee suit for extra protection). COVID safety requirements: winner must be vaccinated with proof of vaccination, mask required for the indoor portion of the harvest, no test required.
