Life on the Chesapeake

This gorgeous gift includes two items, a book and a calendar, about life on the Chesapeake Bay.

Description of "Working the Water" book:

Jay Fleming's first book, Working the Water is a visual narrative of the individuals whose livelihoods depend on the Chesapeake Bay. This scenic book compiles photographs of seasoned watermen, gorgeous seascapes, weathered workboats and Bay bounty, a true and complete depiction of Chesapeake Bay Life. Working the Water is organized chronologically by season and illustrates a behind-the-scenes view of commercial fisheries not visible to the average seafood consumer.

Description of "The 2023 "Life on the Chesapeake" calendar:

This calendar is beautifully photographed and captures the complex interactions between humans and the environment. The exquisite photographs in this calendar include the waters of Smith Island, Maryland and Tangier Island, Virginia.
