Thony Aiuppy is a visual artist, art educator,and writer.  he holds an MFA in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design. His narrative paintings and portraits have been shown in solo and group exhibitons in the Souther and Mid-Atlantic United States. 

Work, labor, and economy have been areas of focus inThony's art practice over the last four years.  Before beginning his journey as a visual artist and art educator , Thony worked blue collar jobs in the priniting and manufacturing industries.  Work, physical labor says a lot about a person, their culture, and where they 'fit" with in the social constricts of their community and society.  These themes relate to Thony's story as well as to the larger narrative of how the Deep South was built form Reconstruction to World War II.
