Shirley Farley was a long-standing Rockport artist, moving to the area from Hollywood where she, a cousin of Marlon Brando, was an actress and screenwriter for shows like “Ford Television Theatre” and “The Twilight Zone.”  Along with Jan Wendell, she signed the original Articles of Incorporation for the Rockport Art Association.   She and her husband Dub, of the Farley boat-building family of Port Aransas, owned the Farley Gallery, downtown and later across from Little Bay, near the current site for GLOW.
