Cathy Vrba earned a B.A. in Psychology and spent 25 years working as a civil litigation paralegal. Primarily self-taught, she paints in oil and soft pastels. Two of her paintings were juried into the annual “Best of the Best” show at the New Braunfels Art League in 2018. She and her husband moved to Rockport after Hurricane Harvey. She was chosen as one of the 2020 Merit Artists at the Rockport Center for the Arts by Dr. Laura Petican, Associate Professor of Art History and Director of University Galleries at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi.
