John Speck is an artist and teacher in Rockport, having worked as the Director of Visual Arts at the Rockport Center for the Arts and currently as an elementary administrator for the Aransas County Independent School District and part-time instructor for Blinn College. He holds a BA in Art and Philosophy from Texas State University, a Master of Education in Secondary Education with a Specialization in Art from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University. He and his wife Jamie, also an artist, maintain studio space in the Downtown Cultural Arts District.
