Classic Maheshwari Saree: Purple
This gorgeous saree designed by local designer Shweta Manwade is a classic handwoven Maheshwari. The designs were inspired by the ornate stone work of the Ahilya Fort on the edge of the Narmada river. These photos depict Jhoole artisans wearing the sarees at the fort. The fort is named after queen Ahilya Bai Holkar who established the handloom weaving industry in Maheshwar in the 1700s. The saree is Maheshwari silk. It is 5.4 meters and includes fabric for a blouse. Should you win a saree we can custom make the blouse according to your measurments.This saree will be available by May 1st.
Pick Up:
Item pick up is at Womanspace, 3333 Maria Linden Drive, Rockford, IL 61114 on Thursday, April 8 & Friday, April 9 from 4:30-6:30 pm and Saturday, April 10 from 9 am-12 pm.
Shipping:
If you need your item to be shipped anywhere within the US, we will ship it via a USPS flat rate box. Flat rate boxes range from $7.95-$21.90. We will ship your item in the most economical flat-rate option according to its size and charge a $1.50 shipping and handling fee. If your item does not fit in one of the flat rate boxes, we will send it the most economical way possible through USPS plus a shipping and handling fee of $1.50, unless you would like to request a specific carrier. If you want more specific information or a shipping estimate for a specific item or if you would like a quote for international shipping, please email ship@womanspace-rockford.org with your question. If you win the item, you will be charged for the item first and then receive a separate invoice for shipping. We will ship your item(s) upon receiving your payment for shipping.
